    Amazing antique sterling silver Breguet Paris verge fusee pocket watch with a hand-painted scenic dial of Napoleon I & the Kings of Naples and Holland.

    Abraham Breguet also invented and produced the world's first self-winding watch (the Perpétuelle) in 1780, as well as the world's first wristwatch in 1810 (the Breguet No.2639, for Caroline Bonaparte, Queen of Naples).
    Breguet is a highly regarded watch manufacturer. Over the years, notable Breguet patrons and timepieces owners include King George III, Queen Victoria, Alexandre I of Russia, Napoléon Bonaparte, Ettore Bugatti, Sir Winston Churchill, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Gioachino Rossini, Arthur Rubinstein and so on

    A unique Georgian period silver cased antique pocket watch.
    The superbly hand-painted dial depicts three Bonaparte brothers: Napoleon I and (Joseph) the Kings of Naples and (Louis) Holland, in colorful clothing and with eye-type devices beneath them. Napoleon is pointing to Spain on a map.
    The verge fusee movement has ornate square pillars and a fancy pierced balance cover and is signed 'Breguet a Paris N.179. It winds and goes well though, so it's definitely of extremely high quality to have kept going for 250 years!
    It dates from the 1800's. It's in good condition overall, It weighs 92 grams, and the case measures 53mms diameter.
